YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Data Analyst at Medialab, you will:

  • Understand and translate client requirements into Apollo configurations, collaborating with customer success teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Define and onboard data feeds, using platforms like Adverity to connect diverse marketing data sources to Apollo.
  • Contribute to the modelling process, working closely with Analytics Engineers by translating business logic into clear technical requirements, using our domain model as the shared language.
  • Build insightful dashboards using Preset.io (Apache Superset), delivering high-quality visual outputs aligned with client needs and platform standards.
  • QA data and outputs, performing integrity checks and validation against source systems or expectations.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and major change requests, taking full ownership of the analyst workflow from intake to delivery.
  • Communicate progress and risks clearly and professionally, managing expectations and maintaining transparency.
  • Support platform excellence, by learning and mastering Apollo's domain model, staying up to date with platform changes, and proactively suggesting improvements.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

You bring a sharp eye for detail, strong data instincts, and a passion for making complex processes work simply and effectively. You're comfortable engaging with stakeholders to uncover, challenge and shape requirements - and skilled at translating those into practical solutions across Apollo's end-to-end workflow. You enjoy getting close to the data, using tools like SQL, spreadsheets and dashboards to manipulate, QA and validate outputs that align to business needs.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers, analysts, and client teams to configure and evolve our platform. Your deep curiosity drives you to fully understand the marketing data you're working with - enabling you to spot issues, optimise delivery and help the team move faster with confidence.

Must Have Skills

  • Data fluency - comfortable working with data, exploring patterns, and manipulating it to draw insight (spreadsheets are second nature).
  • Dashboarding - able to turn business requirements into effective, accessible visualisations (experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Superset).
  • Requirement gathering - strong ability to engage stakeholders, extract use cases, and align to business objectives.
  • Data QA - detail-oriented with a strong instinct for validation and ensuring data integrity.
  • Fast learner - able to pick up new platforms and concepts quickly.
  • Organised and autonomous - skilled at managing your own time and workload, while delivering to high standards.
  • Team collaborator - thrives in an environment of shared ownership, learning and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience writing or adapting SQL queries for ad-hoc analysis or QA.
  • Familiarity with the marketing or advertising domain, especially media data.
  • Experience working in media agency, planning, or activation environments.
  • Exposure to agile ways of working.
