Reporting directly to the Sapphire Product Owner, as a Sapphire Data Analyst you will be responsible for managing and analyzing data within the commercial vaccines data and analytics space.
This role involves ensuring data integrity, developing analytic & report ready datasets, and providing insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and business intelligence.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Sapphire Product Owner, the Data Analyst will manage business, data and organizational needs.
Leverage data and facts to identify patterns, using judgment to form conclusions that may challenge conventional wisdom, and focusing on the issues to identify high leverage intervention points and strategies
Identify and analyze business needs that support the Product strategy, harmonizing across business areas for a harmonized commercial data foundation US Vaccines. Communicate solution tradeoffs to frame and influence project decisions
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
Design and define ingestion processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
Strong focus on data quality assessments, implement measures to improve data accuracy and reliability.
Ability to create detailed functional specs and test cases based off business requirements.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts including design patterns and load strategies.
Proactively monitor industry, functional, and technology trends.
Identify new opportunities to leverage data and to integrate data or applications to enhance business value. Including, identifying and aggregate data from internal and external sources.
Deliver in compliance with quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements.
About you
Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Expert in Data manipulation techniques (esp. querying tables with SQL)
Experience in a commercial pharmaceuticals/biotech/healthcare company is a strong plus
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Agile practices a plus
Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT, Informatica, AWS, Power BI
Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Suite, including Teams
Knowledge of data such as SAP, DDD, CDC, Veeva CRM data is highly preferred.
