Grasstec Group is seeking expressions of interest on behalf of our client for an experienced Dairy Farm Manager to manage a large-scale, grass-based dairy enterprise in Munster.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious dairy professional to join a high-performing farming operation with outstanding infrastructure, a leading herd, and the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving farm performance.
The FarmThe farm is a large grass-based dairy enterprise with excellent infrastructure across both the farmyard and grazing platform.
The herd is recognised as being one of the top EBI herds in the country, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work with a high-performing genetic base within a progressive dairy system.
The successful applicant will have the responsibility and autonomy to manage the day-to-day running of the farm while working to maintain the high standards expected within the enterprise.
The Ideal CandidateWe are seeking an experienced dairy manager who has the ability to lead a high-performing operation and manage the challenges that come with running a large-scale dairy farm.
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience working with large dairy herds in Ireland or abroad
- Proven experience within grass-based grazing dairy systems
- Strong leadership ability with experience managing and developing a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to make clear decisions and solve problems effectively
- The ability to work under pressure during key periods of the farming year
