Customs Broker (UK & IRL)

Title: Customs Clearance Operator

Location: North County Dublin

Terms: Full-time, permanent, 10am to 6pm, Mon to Fri, with flexibility required for busy periods

Package: €34-42,000 (DOE) + Pension

North Dublin-based freight forwarder seeks an experienced and qualified customs clearance operator. The company is long recognised as a leader in their field and has an excellent reputation as a great place to work.

Responsibilities

• Creating UK export entries and Irish clearances
• Addressing customs problems to prevent or minimise delays
• Working closely with other group companies in the UK and Asia.
• Work closely with the freight operations and the bonded warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• Creating customs declarations for UK exports and Irish clearances
• Creating Irish export declarations and UK clearances
• Experience of TSS entries and supplementary declarations
• Experience with ENS/GMR/PBN
• Knowledge of transit bond operations and raising and discharging T1's and T2's
• Experience using the Thyme-IT (Descartes) software
• Knowledge of Azyra would also be useful, but not mandatory
• Extensive understanding of customs processes in Ireland and the UK
• Ability to problem-solve and work as part of a team
• Flexibility in busy periods.
