Customer Service Advisor - Care & Wellbeing Hub (Childrens) -

A temporary Customer Service Advisor is required for Lincolnshire County Council's Children's Social Care Care & Wellbeing Hub, based at Lancaster House in Lincoln city centre. This is a fully office-based role working 37 hours per week (part-time hours considered), for a minimum of 12 weeks, paying £102.08-£134.24 per day via Prism. Start date 14 September 2026.

As the first point of contact for Lincolnshire's Children's Services, you will take sensitive referral calls from members of the public and professionals including police officers, nurses, and teachers. Using Signs of Safety methodology and professional curiosity, you will gather detailed information about concerns raised for children, recording and presenting that information clearly and accurately onto the case management system before passing contacts through to Children's Social Care teams. The quality of your information-gathering directly informs the decisions made for children, making this a high-responsibility, high-impact role.

Calls are often challenging and emotionally demanding. You will need resilience, empathy, and composure under pressure, alongside exceptional communication skills and the ability to talk and type simultaneously. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Windows are essential. Flexible working between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, is required. Full induction and service-specific training are provided by Children's Social Care matter experts.
