Job Description
Customer Representative (Part time)

Nationwide is looking for a Customer Representative to work part time (17.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday) at our Ilkeston branch in Derbyshire. The role is permanent and works across all channels - in branch, phone, and online - to support customers with transactions, product applications, and digital banking services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle transactions on the till and support product application processes.
  • Manage inbound calls and web enquiries, providing first class service.
  • Educate customers on digital services and the benefits of Nationwide's product range.
  • Provide customer support through phone, online chat, and in branch encounters.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and follow procedures for banking and customer data.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Comfortable using digital tools and applications.
  • Strong customer first behaviours: empathise, speak honestly, challenge status quo, prioritise impact, and take accountability.
  • Flexible to work within the 45 minute commute of the Ilkeston branch.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to a diverse customer base.
  • Positive, team oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
