Description

Role Introduction:

Established in 1992, Applegreen is a leading convenience roadside retailer in the Republic of Ireland, the UK and the US in both large-scale Motorway Service Areas and Travel Plazas, as well as smaller petrol stations. The business has grown to over €3BN in annual revenue, operating 600 Motorway Service Plazas and forecourt sites internationally and employing over 17,000 people.

Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and to support this ambitious growth, we are seeking to onboard a Customer Adviser to join our team.

This role will form part of the Commercial fuel team and reports to the Commercial Fuel Manager. The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can fit into Applegreen seamlessly and adopt a hands on approach to their role. This role is office based and is 20 hours per week (10am - 2pm Monday - Friday).

The Candidate should have the following:

  • Communication & Support: Answering phones, managing emails and incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Record Keeping & Data Management: Organizing and maintaining paper and digital files, managing databases, and performing data entry.
  • Document Preparation: Creating, editing, and distributing documents, reports, and presentations for various departments.
  • Workflow & Procedures: Maintaining and refining standard operating procedures to ensure efficient office operations.

Qualifications, experience & skills

  • Experience using MS Excel, MS Word & CRM systems.

Additional key skills & attributes:

  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and information.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to engage and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • Competence with common office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management systems.
  • A knack for anticipating needs, identifying issues, and resolving administrative problems.
  • Be a self starter and be able to work collaboratively as a member of a highly interdependent team across many parts of Applegreen.
  • Has sound judgement and objective logical decision making skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proven ability to handle diverse administrative tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
