Curator Travel Grant to Frieze London & Masters 2026

The Frieze Goethe-Institut Curator Travel Grant 2026 is a professional development initiative presented by Frieze in partnership with Goethe-Institut London. Designed to strengthen international cultural exchange, the programme offers Germany-based curators the opportunity to engage directly with one of the world's leading contemporary art fairs while building lasting professional relationships across the global art community.

Three selected curators will travel to London during Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2026, taking part in a week-long programme of panel discussions, museum and gallery visits, VIP fair access, and networking opportunities with leading curators, artists, galleries, collectors, and arts professionals.

The Goethe-Institut, Germany's international cultural institute with a presence in over 100 countries, partners with Frieze through a shared commitment to supporting curatorial exchange and expanding opportunities for German cultural practitioners to engage internationally.

Selected participants will receive:

• Return flights from Germany to London.
• Accommodation in London from 13-17 October 2026.
• VIP access to Frieze London and Frieze Masters.
• A week-long programme of panel discussions, museum visits, and gallery tours.
• Networking opportunities with leading figures in the international contemporary art world.

Germany

The grant is open to Germany-based curators. Applicants should demonstrate an active curatorial practice and an interest in contemporary art and international cultural exchange. Three curators will be selected to participate in a funded professional visit to London during Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2026.
