CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Critical Services Supervisor to join the team located in London.

About the Role

As a CBRE Critical Services Supervisor, you will oversee the team that resolves and completes day to day work orders to meet customer satisfaction.

This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

Please Note: This role is a continental shift pattern (a mix of days/nights).

Overview of Role

Ensure all environmental conditions are maintained at all times with regard to critical building systems. To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site. Shift Engineers are responsible for the maintenance and have an in depth knowledge of the UPS, Generators (DRUPS) HV, PDU's, CRAC HVAC units at BoA 2 King Edward Street, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control & oversee the day to day engineering operation whilst on shift.
  • First point of call for escalation & responsible for issuing text / comms to management team.
  • Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed to a high standard whilst being proactive in highlighting areas of improvement. Reactive Tasks to be closed out per CBRE site procedure within specified time frames.
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times. All faults to reported to line manager (Following escalation procedure where necessary), raising a Corrigo work order as per site procedure. ACI score to be as per site procedure.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works. Green quotes to be submitted with accurate information.
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork & logbooks are completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the Contract Administrator. All Extra works to be closed out within 30 days of an approval.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times. Ensure up to date, accurate shift handover logs are kept at all times.
  • To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, Vendors, subcontractors and the client representatives.
  • Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times & checking any tools or equipment prior to use.
  • Ensure the professional image of CBRE is presented to clients at all times.
  • Maintain CBRE CNet CDCTP accreditation, including HV AP15 qualification.
  • Supervising and monitoring of sub contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
  • To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
  • To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate. Within required time frame (SLA)
  • To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
  • Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
  • To have a full understanding of the 2 King Edward Street building systems including but not restricted to the following, UPS, Generators (DRUPS) HV, PDU's, CRAC HVAC units.
  • To have an overview of the BoA Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements (or approved client system).
  • To understand the BoA escalation procedure.
  • Maintain CBRE E-Learning and BoA E-Learning in accordance with local Training Matrix. Ensure your teams training is complete within allocated time frame.

Person Specification
  • Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or equivalent in BS7671:2008 Requirement for Electrical Installation (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition).
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
  • Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master level inquisitive mindset.
