Experience a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace where your ideas are valued, and your growth is supported.Your role at a glanceAs the Critical Facilities Maintenance (CFM) Lead Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager, responsible for the shift patterns delivery of Facility Management (FM) services to NTT Global Data Centers, ensuring operational performance and efficiency is always maintained to the highest possible standards. Provide engineering support and guidance in general on property matters affecting the on-going management and development of NTT Global Data Centers.You will be responsible for the management of the shift engineers, including but not limited to ensuring training matrix are up to date, ensure that all planned absences are covered, and scenario drills are completed. You will provide technical support and leadership across the shift including first line response to any incidents that arise. Working with other shift leads, all handovers will be completed and documented using the agreed process. You will provide engineering services and guidance on facility matters affecting the day-to-day management and development of the critical and non-critical infrastructure. Plan, manage and implement the delivery of FM services to the data centers ensuring optimal operational performance, and that compliance is always maintained to the highest possible standard. Provide engineering services and guidance in general on matters affecting the on-going management and development of the data centers.What we are looking forWhat will you do?Maintain and supervise the site shift engineering teamWork closely with the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager and maintain responsibility for ensuring services are delivered in accordance with best practice processes and proceduresManage the Salesforce/MCIM and system and ticketing queuesEnsure there is continuous development of the sites Emergency Operations Procedures and Standard Operations ProceduresPromote Critical Engineering Best Practice and promote high standards of Health and SafetySupport the shift engineering teams to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the DatacentersMaintain a proactive involvement in the on-going technical evaluation of all plant and equipment, and provide suggestions of improvements where appropriateEnsure site logbook systems are current and correct and maintained in accordance with the respective complianceFrom time to time be prepared to work unsociable hours during critical maintenance windows or unforeseen maintenancesPerform any other reasonable duty or request as deemed appropriate by ManagementWhat are we looking for?EssentialExperience in facilities, operations or engineering; in a Data Center critical environment18th Edition certified (or comparable) electrical qualification, ideally electrical test & inspectionLV Switching experience (HV an advantage)Demonstrable experience in operating and fault finding complex and integrated M&E systems including (Transformers, LV, Generators, UPS, Electrical distribution, BMS, Air Conditioning, Fire suppression systems)Working knowledge and understanding of engineering operations within Mission Critical EnvironmentsCreating and developing SOP and EOP documentation and other related/similar processesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritizeGood numerical and literacy skills and high levels of computer literacySelf-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to learnAbility to present complex technical problems and resolution options in a clear well thought out easy to understand wayExcellent attention to detailThe ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good relationship building skillsTo possess initiative with an inquisitive nature, unafraid to ask appropriate questionsTo undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019 standardDesirableHND or similar in relevant area (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services)Comprehensive mechanical engineering understandingLV/ HV Authorized PersonIOSH - Working SafelyL8 Legionella ManagementWho we areAs the third largest data center provider, we operate over 150 data centers in more than 20 countries and regions.
