Criminal Paralegal

Criminal Paralegal / Worcestershire/Salary - £28000.00 - We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Criminal Paralegal to join a busy criminal defence team in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in criminal law while gaining hands on experience supporting experienced solicitors and advocates.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting solicitors and advocates with preparation of criminal defence cases
• Drafting legal documents, statements, and correspondence
• Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and external agencies
• Managing case files and ensuring accurate record keeping
• Conducting legal research and reviewing evidence
• Preparing case bundles for court hearings and trials

Requirements

• Previous experience in criminal law or a legal support role preferred
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• A proactive and professional approach to client careLaw degree, LPC, or equivalent legal qualification desirable but not essential
