Our client is looking to recruit a Criminal Defence Paralegal to join a busy and well regarded criminal defence team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting fee earners on a broad range of criminal defence matters
• Assisting with file progression from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Taking instructions and maintaining proactive client communication
• Drafting and preparing correspondence, attendance notes and supporting documentation
• Assisting with case preparation, including evidence review and document management
• Liaising with police stations, courts, CPS, counsel and other third parties as required
• Preparing bundles and supporting hearing preparation
• Maintaining accurate, well organised files and ensuring deadlines are met

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a criminal defence paralegal role is preferred
• Police Station Accreditation is ideal, or a genuine willingness to work towards it
• Strong organisation and the ability to work calmly under pressure
• Professional, client focused approach, with discretion and good judgement
• Confident written communication and attention to detail
• Good IT skills and comfort working with case management systems
