Criminal & Regulatory Solicitor - Manchester

As part of its expansion, the firm is now seeking a talented Criminal & Regulatory Solicitor to join its well-established team.

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified solicitor with experience in both criminal defence and regulatory law to join a dynamic and supportive department. You will work on a broad range of cases involving criminal matters and regulatory investigations, advising and representing clients facing prosecution, compliance issues, and professional disciplinary proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a mixed caseload of criminal defence and regulatory matters, including advocacy and advisory work.
  • Represent clients in Magistrates' and Crown Court proceedings, as well as before regulatory and disciplinary tribunals.
  • Prepare case strategies, review and assess evidence, and draft legal documents.
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice in sensitive and high-pressure situations.
  • Ensure high standards of client care and legal service delivery.
  • Attend court hearings, police stations, and regulatory interviews as needed.
  • Work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile

We're looking for a solicitor who brings:
  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales with solid experience in criminal defence and regulatory law.
  • Strong court advocacy skills and confident communication abilities.
  • A high level of professionalism, sound legal judgment, and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A client-centred approach and a strong commitment to ethical legal practice.
  • The flexibility to attend court, regulatory hearings, or client sites when necessary.
