Job Description

A bit about the role:

Responsible for ensuring that the designated area is staffed with the correct personnel, maintaining compliance with regulations while managing service quality and costs. Collaborates with colleagues within the Crewing team, Fleet and Shore SMT, and worldwide partners to meet all operational parameters.

- Develops rotation plans aligned with the Crew Repatriation Schedule.

- Ensures rotation plans are entered into the HR Crewing System 18 months in advance.

- Plans only fully qualified and compliant crew members.

- Develops contingency plans for planned and unplanned events impacting manning onboard.

- Manages crew disembarkation for unplanned reasons, ensuring proper care.

- Coordinates with logistics to meet requirements for new builds and dry docks.

- Maps, coordinates, and implements courses and training with suppliers, ships, and shore operations.

- Acts as the primary contact for all crewing queries.

- Works closely with crewing agencies, talent acquisition, and onboarding teams to maintain a sufficient and reliable establishment, mitigating risks as needed. Supports global recruitment efforts.

- Coordinates with crewing agencies to ensure timely and accurate manning activities outsourced to partners.

- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of immigration and maritime regulations.

- Ensures HR crewing system data accuracy.

- Continuously reviews and develops rotation processes to improve service and reduce costs, ensuring consistency across the crewing function.

- Demonstrates influence and impact within the role, making informed decisions and challenging the status quo.

- Supports the People and Culture team in delivering the Employee Value Proposition.

- Collaborates with fleet stakeholders to build trusted service relationships.

- Participates in an out-of-hours emergency phone rotation to support the fleet 24/7.

- Supports various projects as needed.

About you:

Essential:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.

- Experience in manpower or scheduling planning.

- Minimum of 3 years in the maritime, cruise, or expedition industries.

- Experience managing high-volume, dynamic operations.

- Budget management experience.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of worldwide immigration processes.

- Experience working with multinational offices.

- Familiarity with the OCS crewing system.

- Action-oriented, with ownership of responsibilities.
