Job Description- Do you love working with an inclusive range of children and young people of all abilities, thriving on the challenge of ensuring they each bring their unique contribution to the stage?
- Do you thrive in a collaborative environment? Able to ensure many ideas are explored and then distil these into a clear artistic vision?
- Can you curate a wide range of diverse elements (theatre, film, music, dance, spoken word etc) to deliver a cohesive show that leaves the audience full of joy?
- Are you experienced in directing/producing events in professional theatres?
How we hope working with you will feel to us
You will bring an energy, confidence and experience that makes us believe this Showcase will be all we want it to be. The artistic vision will be clear whilst everyone will feel their input has been heard and respected. We will feel we are working in a team with you and we will feel confident that the Showcase itself, and the process running up to it, are highly organised with plans clearly communicated. Working with you will be a growth experience for the whole company.
Who will you be working with?
The Haringey Shed core team consists of: Rachel (CEO), Jessica (Company Manager) and Ashling (Participation Manager). We work closely together and look forward to co-opting you into the team for this project.
You will also work closely with the creative practitioners who lead each of our after-school companies. Each after-school company will perform in the Showcase so ensuring each project lead understands the vision and clearly understands the performance they need to deliver is essential.
We will have a live band on stage throughout the event so liaison with a musical director will be an important element of the role.
We anticipate short, filmed sections interspersed with live performances through the Showcase so you will need to liaise with the film team and contributors.
