Our client is a well-established contractor operating within the construction and civil engineering sector across Leinster. With a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for delivering high-quality work, they are known for maintaining high safety standards, efficient site operations, and a collaborative working environment.
Due to continued growth and increased project demands, they are now seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join their team on a busy construction site based in the Leinster region.
About Your New JobAs a Crane Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting site operations by ensuring the safe and efficient lifting and movement of materials across site. This is a key position requiring a high level of attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work closely with site teams.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Operating a tower crane / mobile crane safely and efficiently in line with site requirements.
- Lifting, positioning, and placing materials and equipment as directed by the site team.
- Communicating effectively with banksmen, slingers, and site management.
- Carrying out pre-use checks and routine inspections of crane equipment.
- Monitoring load weights and ensuring all lifts are conducted within safe limits.
- Assisting with general site coordination where required.
- Ensuring all lifting operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area.
- Adhering strictly to all site safety procedures and always wearing appropriate PPE.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator on construction sites.
- A valid Safe Pass (essential).
- Manual Handling certification (essential).
- A valid CSCS Crane Operator ticket (essential).
- Strong knowledge of lifting operations and site safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- €23.32 per hour.
- Monday - Friday, full-time hours. Overtime available but not guaranteed.
- Opportunity to work on a busy and well managed construction site in Leinster.
