Cover Supervisor - Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Cover Supervisors who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Mildenhall and the surrounding areas, ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across a range of subjects
• Maintain a purposeful and positive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Support pupils in staying on task and engaging with learning
• Supervise students during lessons, break times, or transitions when required
• Report feedback on pupil progress or behaviour to teaching staff
• Assist with general classroom support and cover duties across the school

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
• Confident in leading a classroom and delivering set work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective behaviour management abilities
• Adaptable and comfortable working across different year groups and subjects
• Professional, reliable, and proactive
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
