Cover Supervisor/Classroom Supervisor

We are seeking adaptable, confident, and proactive Cover Supervisors (Classroom Supervisors) to work across a variety of secondary schools in Lancaster and Morecambe. This role is perfect for those who want to make a difference in the classroom without the responsibilities of full-time teaching, planning, or marking.

• Daily Rate:£110 - £160 per day (Dependant on experience and subject specialism).

• Payment Method:Direct PAYE - No umbrella company fees. You receive your full daily rate with transparent tax and NI contributions.

• Flexibility:Full-Time (Monday-Friday) or Part-Time (choose your days, 1-4 per week).

As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain focused and learning continues.

• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behavior in line with school policies.

• Work Delivery: Explain and oversee the completion of work set by the department; no subject-specific expertise is required, though a passion for literacy is a plus.

• Student Engagement: Provide support and encouragement to students as they navigate their tasks.

• Administrative Support: Briefly feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and behavior during the session.

• Safety: Ensure all health and safety protocols of the school are followed within the classroom setting.

• Experience: Previous experience leading or working with groups of young people (e.g., coaching, youth work, tutoring, or military/police background).

• Qualifications: A degree is preferred but not essential; you must have strong communication skills and a high level of literacy and numeracy.

• Character: You should be reliable, resilient, and able to command respect in a classroom setting.

• Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
