Job Description
Cover Supervisor - Specialist Girls' Provision (SEMH / SEND)

Role: Cover Supervisor

Key Stage: KS3 / KS4

Start Date: April 2026

Location: Bedfordshire

Are you confident leading a classroom, steady in challenging situations, and motivated by the opportunity to support young women with complex needs? Do you want a role where your presence, patience and consistency truly matter?

Aspire People are partnering with a specialist provision in Bedfordshire that supports young women who are currently unable to access mainstream education due to social, emotional and mental health needs. Many students have experienced significant adversity and benefit from a calm, structured setting where trust is built gradually and progress is personalised.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide stability and continuity across the school day, delivering pre-set lessons, supporting learning, and helping students feel safe, respected and understood. Class sizes are small (up to 10 pupils), allowing you to focus on relationship-building and positive behaviour support.

About You
  • Has experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, care or support capacity
  • Can confidently deliver prepared lessons and manage small groups
  • Remains calm, patient and consistent when faced with challenging behaviour
  • Builds professional, trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
  • Is reflective, proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Holds a full driving licence due to the rural location (essential)

This opportunity would particularly suit someone with a background in behaviour support, alternative provision, youth services or residential care who is ready for a rewarding new challenge.

Why This Role?
  • Join a trauma-informed, highly supportive team
  • Work with small class groups and make meaningful connections
  • Develop specialist experience within SEMH/SEND education
  • Receive ongoing guidance and professional development
  • Play a key role in helping young women re-engage with learning and build brighter futures

If you're ready to be a consistent, positive influence in a setting where every small step forward counts, we would love to hear from you.
