Cover Supervisor

Flourish Education are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to work within a Secondary School in Malvern. The school is dedicated to providing students with a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment and has high expectations for behaviour, achievement and student development.

We are working closely with our partnership school to find a dependable Cover Supervisor who can confidently supervise lessons and support students in the absence of their usual teacher. You will oversee work that has already been prepared, encourage students to remain engaged and ensure the classroom remains calm and productive.

The role is expected to start in September and continue until the end of the academic year.

Key responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Oversee pre-set lessons and ensure students complete the required work.
• Provide clear instructions and support students where appropriate.
• Monitor student behaviour and deal with classroom issues effectively.
• Encourage pupils to remain focused and engaged.
• Collect completed work and return it to the regular classroom teacher.
• Communicate any concerns, incidents or relevant student information to teaching staff.
• Maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.

What we are looking for:

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Experience supporting KS3 and KS4.
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A genuine commitment to supporting the education and development of young people.

This Cover Supervisor vacancy is based in Malvern and is easily commutable from Worcester, Ledbury, Upton-upon-Severn, Hereford and surrounding areas. Malvern has good public transport connections and provides easy access to surrounding areas of Worcestershire.
