Role Overview

We are seeking General Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Bridgwater, supervising lessons during short- and long-term teacher absences. You will work with KS3 and KS4 pupils, delivering pre-set work and maintaining effective classroom routines.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to build experience in education or secure flexible, ongoing supply work.

• Supervise lessons using pre-prepared materials
• Apply behaviour policies and maintain classroom order
• Keep pupils focused and on task
• Follow safeguarding and school procedures
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff

Required Skills & Behaviours

• Confident classroom and behaviour management
• Clear, assertive communication
• Consistent application of expectations
• Ability to adapt across subjects and year groups

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Degree-level education or equivalent (desirable)
• Understanding of safeguarding requirements
• Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
