Cover Supervisor

Flourish Education is recruiting a reliable and engaging Cover Supervisor to work on either a long-term or day-to-day basis within a welcoming Secondary School in Bournville and the surrounding areas, including Northfield, Selly Oak, Rubery and Kings Norton.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors or education professionals who enjoy maintaining continuity of learning. You'll be supported with clear lesson plans and a strong behaviour framework, while still having the flexibility to choose when and how often you work - supporting an excellent work life balance.

Job Role

• Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in the absence of the class teacher
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring students remain on task
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Support pupils with their learning and engagement during lessons
• Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff within the Secondary School
• Work confidently across a range of subjects as a Cover Supervisor

Required Skills and Experience

• Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, HLTA, Graduate, Aspiring Teacher, Education Support
• Experience working with children or young people - school-based experience is essential
• Confident presence and strong classroom / behaviour management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach
• A passion for supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
