Job Description

Cover Supervisor

Location: Hyde

Contract: Full-time and part-time, temporary

Premier Education is seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a temporary and part-time basis in secondary schools in Hyde and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in the education sector, whether you are a recent graduate, an aspiring teacher, or an experienced Cover Supervisor.

We are currently experiencing a demand for Cover Supervisors for same day bookings - early risers and flexibility is key! Of course, if we will try to give you as much notice as possible.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged and on task.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.

  • Support students with their learning and provide guidance when needed.

  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition of lessons.

  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

  • Able to support across the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Ideally a degree level qualification (especially for those considering a teaching career)

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.

  • A passion for education and supporting young learners.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Pay:

£100.00 - £120.00 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
