Academics are recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Southampton seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Cover Supervison Co-ordinator to join their team. This is a key, fast paced position within a busy school environment in Southampton, with responsibility for ensuring the smooth daily running of cover arrangements across the school. You will plan, manage and allocate daily cover for both planned and unplanned staff absence. The Cover Supervisor Co-ordinator will liaise with and deploy staff effectively, and manage room changes or timetable adjustments as required throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Organise daily cover arrangements for staff absence across the school
• Liaise with external supply agencies and allocate cover efficiently

• Maintain accurate records using school IT systems

Requirements

• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with staff and students
• Confident using IT/ICT systems, including Microsoft Office
• Experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral or service environment
• Ability to remain calm, professional and adaptable in a busy Southampton school setting
• Demonstrates resilience, flexibility and a proactive approach
