Location: Swindon. Salary: £55,000+ (DOE). Experience: up to 3 years PQE. Ref: 4699.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a specialist team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor to develop expertise in Property and Financial Affairs work while supporting vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities

• Expose to complex and rewarding work.
• Advise and support clients whose financial affairs are managed through Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts, ensuring their interests are protected while delivering an exceptional standard of client care.
• Assist with the administration of Property and Financial Affairs Deputyships.
• Prepare Court of Protection applications, reports and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
• Work closely with clients, their families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other advisers.
• Attend client meetings and visits where required.
• Develop knowledge of related areas such as statutory wills, funding for care and welfare benefits.

Skills and Experience

• Up to 3 Years PQE as a Court of Protection Solicitor.
• Enthusiasm for Property and Financial Affairs matters.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach when working with vulnerable clients and their supporters.
• Strong organisational, drafting and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines effectively.
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
