The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be a counselling graduate or currently studying counselling/psychology or a related field

• Have a genuine interest in supporting young people with SEMH needs

• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and emotional resilience

• Be a positive role model with strong interpersonal skills

• Have the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable students

• Be eager to gain practical experience within educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs

• Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing

• Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation

• Encouraging engagement in learning and personal development

• Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
