Job Description

This team have a market-leading reputation in London, across Europe, and globally. They are the largest in both process and technology capabilities, as well as in Real Assets taxation. Following recent legislative changes affecting UK Real Assets, demand for their services is growing rapidly. The team is seeking a driven individual to contribute to a growth-oriented, client-focused environment, combining expertise in tax compliance, technology solutions, and Real Assets tax technical knowledge.

You will work closely with the Real Estate Transactions and Advisory teams, offering exposure to senior leadership across a wide range of UK Real Assets investors. These include Real Assets and Private Equity funds, REITs, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Family Offices of High Net Worth individuals. The role provides opportunities to collaborate with Partners, Directors, and Associate Directors, helping to build strong relationships and expand professional networks.

The team delivers a comprehensive range of tax compliance services, supporting clients in meeting their UK tax obligations efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will develop trusted client relationships and gain insight into the operations of various Real Assets businesses and structures. This role integrates compliance expertise, technology-driven solutions, and Real Assets tax technical knowledge.

Opportunity Overview

Senior Managers lead key aspects of client service delivery, including coordination with global teams to ensure timely completion of workstreams and providing high-quality reviews as part of the UK relationship team.

This role requires commercial insight and professional expertise, along with the ability to leverage the strengths of colleagues to deliver outstanding client experiences and outcomes.

Responsibilities include managing key client relationships, supporting senior leaders in developing existing accounts, and contributing to proposals for new business. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, eager to share knowledge and continue developing technical expertise or a specialism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Real Assets investors in meeting UK direct tax obligations efficiently and on time
  • Advising clients on the implications of recent legislative changes affecting Real Assets
  • Responding to HMRC tax enquiries
  • Driving transformation in annual tax compliance and reporting through process improvement, technology, risk management, and organisational design
  • Planning and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues to deliver solutions and support team development
  • Managing client accounts and ensuring high-quality service delivery
Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in UK corporate tax or equivalent, gained in industry or professional services
  • Understanding of traditional regulated and alternative fund structures and their tax implications
  • Ability to manage a large client portfolio, delegating effectively across onshore and offshore teams to meet deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to personal development and continuous improvement
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and internal teams, applying commercial insight to technical work
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Motivation to grow a career in Real Assets Tax Compliance
  • Willingness to take on challenges and stretch professionally

Desirable:

  • ACA/CTA qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential
