Senior Manager - Corporate Governance & Stewardship

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £92,071.60 (non-negotiable)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Are you a strategic thinker with deep expertise in corporate governance or stewardship? We're looking for a Senior Manager to lead critical policy initiatives and shape the future of governance and stewardship in the UK.

With the new UK Corporate Governance Code (2024) and UK Stewardship Code (2026) setting new expectations, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to national policy at a senior level. You'll drive high-impact projects, ensure quality and consistency in reporting assessments, and advise senior leadership using robust evidence and insight.

This role involves:

  • Leading policy development and cross-organisational strategic initiatives
  • Overseeing annual reviews of governance and stewardship reporting
  • Ensuring proportionate and fair assessments of Stewardship Code applications
  • Representing the organisation with government, regulators, and industry bodies
  • Supporting and developing junior colleagues through strong leadership

What you bring:

  • You have extensive experience in governance, stewardship, or regulatory policy
  • the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • You're a confident communicator, skilled in translating complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Possible experience/background might include Asset Management, Investment, Investor, Company Secretary.
  • This role will look at all aspects of corporate governance including Risk, Diversity, Leadership, Investment.
