About Our Client

The team is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary group dedicated to delivering high-quality public services, managing assets efficiently, and supporting community well being across both districts.

Job Description
  • Oversee Asset Management, Facilities Management and Caretaking & Cleaning teams, including budgets and performance.
  • Maintain and deliver planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes; act as Premises Manager.
  • Ensure statutory compliance (asbestos, fire safety, lifts, electrical, gas) and manage contractor procurement and performance.
  • Maintain strategic oversight of the councils' built estate; lead Corporate Asset Management Strategy, options appraisals and investment decisions.
  • Lead energy management, sustainability and spend to save initiatives.
  • Project manage capital and regeneration projects, providing Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
  • Manage commercial tenant obligations, security of assets and alarm response arrangements.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Corporate Asset Manager will combine strong technical asset expertise with commercial judgement, proven leadership, and the ability to deliver safe, compliant, cost effective services across two councils.

  • Demonstrable senior experience managing multi site corporate estates and delivering planned maintenance, compliance programmes, and capital projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building compliance areas including asbestos, fire safety, lifts, electrical and gas safety.
  • Proven leadership and people management with the ability to motivate teams, manage performance, and work collaboratively across two councils.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with experience of procurement, contract management, budget control, and delivering or efficiency savings.
  • Effective stakeholder and political engagement skills with confident committee presentation, project delivery under CDM requirements, and a track record of measurable outcomes.
