The Role:

Hampshire County Council is seeking an IT Support professional with a sharp mind and the potential to quickly grasp IT skills, to join our team and take on the important role of supporting IT & AV equipment in our meeting rooms. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all the technology in our meeting rooms is functioning properly and is available for use by employees and users of the Meeting Rooms here at HCC.

What you'll do:
  • Provide technical support for meeting room technology, including audio/video conferencing systems, and other collaboration tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with meeting room technology in a timely manner
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on meeting room equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of new meeting room technology as needed
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of meeting room technology with other company systems
What we're looking for:
  • Relevant experience in an IT support role, preferably with some experience on audiovisual and collaboration tools
  • Good understanding of network protocols and experience with network troubleshooting
  • Experience with audio/video conferencing systems and other collaboration tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • This role will involve primarily working on-site at our main offices in Winchester and covering meetings out of hours usual business hours when required
  • You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary
