Job Description
PLEASE NOTE

Term time only role with full school holidays. Experience of running a kitchen and ordering is essential. Shifts begin between 6:30 and 7:00 to allow time for ordering.

Being a cook in our school means being part of something big. You'll be working at the heart of the school, preparing and serving tasty, nutritious food to our young people, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a skilled kitchen team and plan nutritious menus for our young people.
  • Ensure the school meets food hygiene regulations and nutritional standards.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, visitors and students to support their wellbeing.
  • Order ingredients, budget for each meal and purchase in bulk.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Food Safety in Catering (or equivalent).
  • Organised with the ability to plan menus and manage inventory.
  • Experience budgeting for meals and ordering in bulk.
