Cook - Longmoor Camp (ESS - Compass Group)

Location: Longmoor CampSalary: £15.25 per hourHours: 40 per week (full-time, site-based)Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7, a mix of early and late shifts

About the Role

We are recruiting two motivated Cooks to join our catering team at Longmoor Camp, part of ESS within Compass Group.

As part of the kitchen team, you will support the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for approximately 400 Service Personnel. You'll work across two on-site kitchens alongside a well-established team of 16.

This is a busy and rewarding role offering stability, variety, and the opportunity to learn, develop, and make a meaningful contribution each day.

A background or interest in food preparation is preferred.

Shift Details

Early Shift: 05:00 - 13:30Late Shift: 10:30 - 19:00Working Pattern: 5 days over 7

Meal Service Times:

• Breakfast: 07:00 - 08:00
• Lunch: 12:00 - 15:00
• Evening Meal: 17:00 - 18:00

What We're Looking For

• An interest in food preparation and catering (previous cook or kitchen experience preferred)
• Willingness to learn and follow food hygiene and safety standards
• Ability to work well as part of a large, fast-paced team
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high standards
