Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer required to join a manufacturer working in the food processing industry based in Roscoe, IL.

The successful Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer will have 3+ years of experience working in a similar position. They will also have experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.

Package:

$80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer Role:

1. Develop robust PLC and HMI programming in accordance with project requirements.
2. Update, support, and integrate existing PLC and HMI programs.
3. Create and maintain I/O lists to align electrical design with program specifications.
4. Test, debug, modify, and validate all system functions prior to shipment.
5. Conduct system start-up and commissioning at customer sites for final approval.
6. Train customer employees on the operation and maintenance of delivered systems.
7. Update and maintain electrical schematics after system assembly completion.
8. Provide ongoing technical and troubleshooting support to clients post-startup.

Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience working as a Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer.
2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
3. Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC/PAC programming.
4. Expertise in HMI programming software.
5. Capable of electrical troubleshooting, including 480-volt, 110-volt, and low voltage control systems.
6. Experience in the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, or consumer products industries is preferred.
7. Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD P&ID drawings.
8. Basic understanding of hydraulics, fluid flow, pneumatics, and electric circuits.
9. Familiarity with turnkey plant systems with an emphasis on process piping is a significant plus.
10. Commuteable to Roscoe, IL.
