This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious individual to drive a robust risk and control environment across our Banking Products.

You'll play a pivotal role in setting a high standard of Risk and Control Management, with plenty opportunity to develop within the role, as well as exposure to broader opportunities. You'll be working closely with our assurance and oversight colleagues and have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the entire business.

If successful, your internal job title will be Quality Assurance Senior Analyst Banking.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering 1st Line control testing framework by conducting independent design appropriateness and effectiveness assessments.
  • Identifying areas of risk and improvements.
  • Helping resolve issues arising from assurance and oversight and referring serious or contentious issues to the accountable owner.
  • Ensuring the organisation is not exposed to undue risks by using risk management systems to achieve specific goals within a designated area of the business.
  • Providing specialist advice on the design and build of controls to efficiently mitigate risk.
  • Contributing to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by arranging meetings and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.

We need you to have:

  • Experience working with Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Experience in conducting control design appropriateness and effectiveness testing.
  • Strong experience of keeping track of risk parameters and identifying any deviations.

  • Good attention to detail, producing accurate and high-quality control testing results.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

And if you have any of these, even better

  • Knowledge or experience of US SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) control testing.
  • Experience in writing and producing reports for Risk and Control results into committees.
  • Ability to prioritise your own workflow

We don't expect you to tick every box, and if you feel you hit most of the brief, it's worth exploring to further develop your career here with us.
