Control Systems Software Engineer

Summary of Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced engineers to join our Energy team. The role involves software design, development, and implementation for PLC-based control and/or SCADA systems. The successful candidate will work within a team across all project lifecycle phases, primarily in renewable power generation and storage industries. Projects include system upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Candidates should have proven control automation experience with the following technologies:

• Minimum 2 years experience with at least one of the following: Siemens PCS7, Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix with Studio 5000, Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE
• Experience coding to IEC61131 standards using ladder, function block, sequential function chart, and structured text
• Experience with factory acceptance testing and project lifecycle management in accordance with QA procedures
• Willingness to travel and work remotely as required
• Valid UK driving license
• Knowledge of communication protocols, Windows Server environments, network configuration, simulation software, and renewable power control systems
• Experience with legacy PLCs such as Rockwell RSLogix5/500/5000, Schneider Unity Pro/Concept, Siemens Step 7
