Job Description

Our client are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of electrical, civil and infrastructure projects in Co. Mayo.

The role will have responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance, client relationships, health & safety and team leadership, working closely with Project Managers and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple electrical, civils, infrastructure, utilities, public lighting and renewable energy projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
  • Oversee project programmes, resources, costs, valuations, variations, claims and forecasting.
  • Identify and manage contractual, commercial and operational risks.
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and operational teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, utilities, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, environmental and health & safety requirements.
  • Lead project reviews and support the resolution of escalated operational and commercial issues.
Requirements
  • Degree, Higher Diploma or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • 7-10+ years' experience managing construction, infrastructure or engineering projects.
  • Strong background in electrical contracting and civil engineering.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams.
  • Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in utilities, public lighting, renewable energy or infrastructure would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of public sector contracts/frameworks desirable.
