WA Consultants is currently looking for an experienced IT Field Service Engineer for an initial 6-month contract.

This will be a varied role with a large element of on site work building and configuring desktops/laptops from the clients headquarters but with the occasional need to travel to other client sites around the UK.

Key skills will include:

Conduct IT audit capturing information Hardware, PCs & Laptops, Alarm lines, CCTV, power, IT Cabinets, Telephony Lines and systems, Network WAN & LAN, Cabling (Copper/Fibre)
Evaluating Infrastructure layout and provide assessment on remediation works required
Provide guidance and recommendations on site IT improvements and readiness
Setup of end user IT equipment compute and peripherals
On-site installation, connectivity and patching of network equipment and services
Manage and support end users transition to new IT services
Decommission of hardware, cabling, and legacy IT infrastructure
Ability to work with autonomy within an agreed project scope
Has ladder training and can use a 2-step ladder unattended

Our client has sites across the UK however, the successful applicant with predominately cover sites in the Midlands, South and South East of the UK so a willingness to travel with overnight stays is essential. The successful candidate will need to be able to work autonomously and unsupervised.
