Day Rate: £320 per day
Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and driven DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-growing company.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in automating development and deployment processes, facilitating seamless collaboration between development and operations, and ensuring system performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code
  • Use Azure Pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Write automation scripts in Bash or Python to streamline processes and enhance workflows
  • Manage cloud resources using Azure, and work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerised application deployment
  • Implement monitoring tools, alerting systems, and conduct root cause analyses to support incident management
  • Apply security best practices including encryption, identity and access management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
  • Act as a bridge between development and operations teams, ensuring alignment on processes and objectives
  • Automate software release processes, implement rollback strategies, and manage version control effectively

About You:
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server administration
  • Skilled in using Git and branching and merging strategies
  • Proficient in Azure Pipelines and cloud technologies, particularly Azure
  • Confident with containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Skilled in Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Knowledgeable in security best practices
  • Familiarity with both relational databases such as MSSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB
  • Strong communication skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
