Job Description

About Lawhive

We're on a mission to make sure everyone has access to the law.
Lawhive is an online platform for consumers and small businesses to get legal help for a fraction of the cost of a law firm. Our platform combines regulated human lawyers collaborating alongside the world's first AI lawyer, specifically built for consumer legal work.
Equal access to the law is one of the biggest and most pressing unsolved problems in society today. We're passionate about leveling the playing field and believe access to the law should be a basic utility in society.
Our AI lawyer Lawrence is built on top of our own fine tuned LLM and recently passed the UK's bar exam equivalent.
We're backed by some of the top US and UK VC funds including Google Ventures, Balderton Capital and TQ Ventures. We recently secured a $40M Series A funding round to facilitate international expansion and to grow our team, representing one of the five largest Series A rounds in Europe for 2024.

About the Role:

This is a crucial role focused on driving Lawhive's journey from tech start-up to a high efficiency scale-up by improving how we work. Our Continuous Improvement Lead will be part of a new, dedicated function that sits within Operations and reports directly to the COO. You'll be hands-on in this role, helping us to identify blockers, bottlenecks, and inefficient or broken workflows. Working across our GTM and Commercial teams, you'll partner with key stakeholders to help teams scale their operational muscle.

This is not a project/change management or Six Sigma role. We're not looking for someone who can write long process manuals or create red tape. It's about taking what we have, improving on it, and helping the business run better, smarter, and more efficiently.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with functional leads and stakeholders to understand and map key workflows across the business

  • Run improvement sprints focused on simplification, speed, and scale to help reduce manual work and remove bottlenecks

  • Raise automation opportunities (with scoped briefs) to our Tech teams

  • Codify improvements into repeatable playbooks or lightweight SOPs for various teams

  • Track and report on impact (e.g. time saved, errors reduced, throughput increased)

  • Champion continuous and operational improvement across the business without slowing teams down

  • Enable higher output and better experience for consultants and customers

Requirements:

  • 3-6 +years in operations, business improvement, or similar in a high-growth environment

  • Strong process thinking to spot inefficiencies, propose solutions, and prioritise well

  • Comfortable working cross functionally and influencing without authority

  • Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset and not just strategy or frameworks

  • Familiarity with low-code tools, automation basics, and workflow tooling (Zapier, Notion, Airtable, Slack integrations etc.)

Nice to have

  • Experience in legal services, customer operations, or tech-enabled product / service businesses

  • Exposure to Lean, Agile, or service design (in a non-dogmatic way)

  • Disciplined in process methodologies such as Six Sigma

  • Experience briefing or working with automation / technical teams
