Job Description

Who are we?

Come and Meet the Founder in this 1 minute video, where you'll get a firsthand glimpse into who we are and life here at Commusoft.

Global Mission Statement:

From the side project of an entrepreneurial university student to an award-winning global company, Commusoft continues to evolve and have a positive impact in the field service software market. Since 2006, we've not only transformed our own services and offerings, but we've transformed the business operations of thousands of service companies who rely on our software every day.

Our dedication to being a positive presence stretches far and wide, underpinning the entire journey that Commusoft employees take our clients on. Starting with making sure we only sell to businesses that can benefit from our solutions, to comprehensively supporting clients from day one, and always being open and transparent with our community - these commitments ensure sustainable growth for our clients and Commusoft alike. And none of it is possible without our hardworking and forward-thinking team.

Department Mission Statement:

Our Marketing department plays a massive part in Commusoft's growth, powering our success with creativity and innovation. We have three key areas: Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Content Marketing. Our mission is to tell our brand's story and connect with our audience in ways that generate a qualified pipeline and grow our customer base. You'll join a dynamic team of five based in Chicago and London, working collaboratively across time zones to create impactful campaigns.

Inclusion and Belonging at Commusoft:

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we. We draw upon our talented and diverse team of different cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences to ensure the success of our business. We have a 'culture-add' mindset rather than 'culture-fit' when it comes to our hiring process and we intend to genuinely drive transformational change when it comes to diversity, inclusion and belonging. If you're eager to take clients on a journey and help transform field service businesses for the better, you'll be at home at Commusoft.

Role Overview:

As a Content Marketing Specialist, you'll report to the Content Marketing Manager and work closely with the Product Marketing and Demand Generation teams. You'll be responsible for both creating and optimising content across our website. Content will be featured across multiple platforms, primarily on the Commusoft blog, but also on social media, for downloadable resources, and more. You'll work collaboratively, sharing strategic insights from competitor and keyword research, to create compelling content that ranks, drives engagement, and converts leads.

What you'll do:

You'll be creating long and short form content for our UK & US audiences. You'll be required to adapt and understand the similarities and differences between each region's ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), target their unique pain points, appeal to their wants and needs, all whilst ensuring the content aligns with Commusoft's brand guidelines and messaging.

We believe our content should be genuine and people-led, but we recognise the need to adapt and use AI tools, like Gemini and Jasper, to supplement and support content creation. AI is a tool, not a crutch.

Additionally, you'll be supporting short-form content creation for demand generation campaigns (ad copy, landing pages, visuals) and blog optimization to improve SEO and LLM ranking performance.

You'll also help create content for Commusoft's social media channels-we post to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, and X-ensuring that content engages our ICP and adds value through actionable tips, best practices, client testimonials, and product-related insights. Content will differ from channel to channel and serve different purposes, such as to inform, persuade, and entertain.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive engagement, traffic, and conversions (including views, clicks, reach, shares, followers, and leads).

Blog Writing and Optimisation

    • Create new content, while also reviewing, optimising, and rewriting existing content to improve keyword rankings and traffic.
    • Align blogs with social media content by creating cross-channel content that supports Commusoft product offerings and insights.

Content for Demand Generation

  • Create downloadable resources (templates, cheat sheets, ebooks, etc), ad copy, and landing pages that convert.
  • Focus on driving engagement and conversions by crafting targeted content that addresses ICP-specific challenges and needs.
  • Collaborate with demand generation teams to align short-form content with broader campaign goals.

Collaboration and Feedback

    • Actively participate in cross-functional meetings within marketing, but also with sales, client success, and operations to gather insights for content creation.
    • Propose new content, storytelling ideas, and improvements to enhance engagement and improve team efficiency.
    • Regularly incorporate feedback into your work, ensuring content aligns with our branding, strategy, but also our audience's needs.

Content Creation for Social Media

    • Assist in creating and scheduling content for Commusoft's Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X channels, maintaining a professional, engaging presence.
    • Ideate, draft, and repurpose existing content for social media, ensuring it adds value, incorporates storytelling, and appeals to our audience.

Your skills, experience and values:

  • Experience in B2B content marketing, social media management, or copywriting is a must.
  • Experience with HubSpot and WordPress (or relevant CMS).
  • Proficient in SEMrush for keyword monitoring and GA4 and Google Search Console for analysing content performance.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and how to tailor content to different audiences.
  • Skilled in both long and short-form copywriting.
  • Proficient in SEO, but also with an understanding of emerging AI trends impacting search and traffic.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent time management skills to better handle multiple projects.
