Job Description

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy content and digital department and help Law Society members (solicitors) to feel supported and empowered, with the practical, expert and timely information they need to excel in their work.

You will create, edit, publish and manage high-quality, trusted and practical resource content, working closely with subject matter experts, campaign managers and senior stakeholders.

Working closely with colleagues across communications, policy, public affairs, member engagement and research, you will apply user-centred design (content design) principles to make complex legal, regulatory and policy issues easy to digest.

You will create, publish and manage digital content using content management systems, using website traffic and behavioural analytics tools to monitor and act on engagement.

This is an exciting and varied role where your expertise and knowledge will be used to great effect to make a real impact for our members.

What we're looking for

You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills, combined with a strong understanding and experience of user-centred design (content design) principles.

You can quickly understand complex or technical issues and translate these into engaging, easy-to-understand content.

You will have experience creating, editing and managing digital content for a professional audience, with a solid understanding of best practice in digital publishing, search engine optimisation and accessibility.

You are experienced using content management systems and website traffic and behavioural analytics tools.

You have strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, able to quickly form positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.

What's in it for you

This is an excellent opportunity to work with contemporary thinkers in a progressive membership organisation.

The successful candidate will join a strong brand with a reputation for excellence and legal expertise, committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and a culture of excellence, trust, clarity and respect.

We offer hybrid working (three days a fortnight in our London office), a generous flexible benefits package, a friendly working environment and the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation.

Please note: if you are an internal applicant, Pay Policy will apply.

Interviews are planned to take place week commencing 16 March.

The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and other decision makers, to offering training and advice, we're here to help, protect and promote solicitors.
