Content Designer - Central Government (GOV.UK Experience Essential)

Rate: £450-525/day Inside IR35

Locations: Base locations across the UK including London, Bristol, and Manchester

On-site Requirement: 1 day per week

Deadline: Close of business Thursday 13th November

About the Role

We're looking for experienced Content Designers to join high-profile Central Government digital service teams. You'll create and improve user-centred content that meets service standards and makes a real impact on millions of users.

What You'll Do

  • Design, improve, and manage content using analytics, user feedback, and research
  • Apply and contribute to content principles and strategies
  • Identify user needs and write clear, actionable user stories
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across government and industry
  • Take a strategic approach to content design, ensuring compliance with service standards

Essential Skills Experience

  • Government experience is critical - strong understanding of GOV.UK content standards and service design principles
  • Hands-on experience with GOV.UK publishing systems
  • Expertise in content design, using insights and analytics to inform decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
