We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant Radiologists specialising in GI imaging to join our expanding team with a site base of either Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, St Richard's Hospital, Chichester or Worthing Hospital.
The role requires a thorough grounding in clinical radiology including ultrasound and cross sectional skills in addition to subspecialty specialist knowledge
An interest in paediatric imaging would be desirable as we enhance our paediatric imaging pathways.

The clinical duties of the post include the following:
- General elective and acute (hot) reporting
 - General ultrasound lists
 - Sub-speciality GI reporting (including responsibility for extended scope radiographers specialising in GI fluoroscopy procedures)
 - Supervision of radiology trainees
 - Participation in MDM
 - Participation in general radiologist on-call service
 - Skills in EUS are desirable but not essential for the post

Person Specification Experience/ Qualifications- oFull GMC Registration with a licence to practice
 - oCCT in Radiology or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
 - oEntry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
 - oHigher Degree
 
- oExperience of running MDM
 - oBroad experience of general acute diagnostic imaging and general out patient imaging reporting and ultrasound
 - Lower GI specialist reporting and supervision
 - oUSS guided drain insertion and biopsies
 
- oBreadth of experience in and outside specialty
 
- oExperience and ability to work in multi-professional teams.
 - oUnderstanding of: NHS / Clinical governance / Resource constraints
 - oEvidence of managerial skills: Achievements / Course attended
 
- oEvidence of participation in audit
 - oResearch experience
 - oPublications
 - oPrizes and honours
 
- oEvidence of:- Good communication skills both oral and written
 - oAppropriate progression of career to date
 
- oEvidence of an interest and commitment to teaching
 - oRecognised teaching qualification
