Consultant Practitioner Psychologist

Are you an experienced psychological leader with a passion for working in acute mental health services? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Practitioner Psychologist, Acute Service Lead in the Mid & North Hampshire arm of the Acute Services Pathway in Parklands Hospital, Basingstoke.

The successful candidate will be experienced in working with people with complex mental health needs, where psychosis and severe interpersonal difficulties are part of their presentation. Candidates will be familiar with working through a trauma informed lens and have previously worked with inpatients and outpatients in crisis & experiencing acute mental health presentations.

Working alongside colleagues, the post-holder will offer specialist psychological assessments, neuro-cognitive assessments, formulations, brief interventions ,will be familiar with and contribute to further developing the Care Comprehend, Cope & Connect (CCC) Programme.

The successful candidate will be part of the wider senior management team and lead on service and strategic development, developing the psychological milieu in addition to providing line management, supervision, consultation and training to staff within psychology and the wider multi-professional team.
