Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: Godalming, Surrey (with travel to project sites)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role: Our client, a well-established main contractor specialising in refurbishment projects, is seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Project Manager to join their team based in Godalming. This is a key role overseeing refurbishment schemes ranging in value from £250k to £1.5 million, primarily within the healthcare and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple refurbishment projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

  • Coordinate and oversee site activities, working closely with site managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain project programmes, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure clear communication and client satisfaction.

  • Ensure health and safety compliance across all sites.

  • Prepare and review project documentation including reports, schedules, and budgets.

  • Attend regular site visits and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management within the construction sector, ideally refurbishment works.

  • Background in managing commercial projects within healthcare and education environments is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach to project delivery.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential due to site travel).
