Construction Plant Fitting Apprenticeship

Learn and develop as a construction plant fitter, supporting the maintenance and reliability of mobile plant and equipment used across our mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mobile plant and equipment.
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• Complete inspections and safety checks in line with mining regulations and site standards.
• Use modern maintenance systems and technology, including the CMMS system (Maximo).
• Develop strong problem solving skills through proactive fault finding and repair activities.

Entry Requirements

• Aged 18 years or over.
• Leaving Certificate with a minimum of five passes at Ordinary Level, including English and Maths.

• An interest in technology, engineering or problem solving.

Practical details

• 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Some flexibility required in line with operational needs.
• A structured apprenticeship combining on job learning with off site training.
