Job Description
Construction Management - Project Manager 
Glastonbury
The S/L/A/M Collaborative is searching for a Project Manager to join our Construction Management & Design Build Team in Glastonbury, CT to manage construction projects from the preconstruction phase through its completion. This position is responsible for ensuring that the construction project is concluded successfully by performing the following, but not limited to, duties personally or through others:
- Orchestrates, coordinates, schedules, assigns, and manages work performed by all subs and suppliers. read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts; track, monitor projects
- Work with Design teams in the preconstruction phase for logistics, phasing and constructability reviews
- Project Team lead for overall budget and schedule successes; work closely with our site super, APM's and other Team members to coordinate and manage projects
- Break down scope of work into assignable trade packages, bid and negotiate contracts for the work and maintain overall budget
- Reports to Senior Management
- Managing client communications and responsiveness to their needs
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local codes and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements are a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management or related field of study or experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in multi-million commercial/institutional construction experience with education or healthcare projects a plus
- Strong Team building and leadership skills
- Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with Architects and trades to address design and construction issues
- Proficiency in Excel, Procore, and MS Project or P-6 & Bluebeam
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong understanding of construction techniques
- Strong scheduling skills. • Strong work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail and a desire to learn
- Ability to work under tight timeframes and balance multiple assignments
- Adept at understanding, managing, and tracking project GMPs and financial tracking related to the project
