# Construction Logistics Distribution LeadLocationBridgwater, Somerset, South West, EnglandSalaryDependant on experience Location: Hinkley Point C Role: Construction Logistics Distribution Lead (CLDL) Industry: Major Infrastructure / Energy / Nuclear Employment Type: Full time, Senior Level A major opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Logistics Distribution Lead (CLDL) to join the logistics leadership team at Hinkley Point C. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing and optimising the Final Mile Logistics (FML) strategy, ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient flow of permanent materials from arrival on site through to the designated construction areas. The CLDL acts as the central coordination point for all on site distribution activity, ensuring alignment with project timelines, maintaining compliance standards, and driving operational excellence. By streamlining last mile delivery processes, this role plays a critical part in ensuring construction milestones are achieved and resources are effectively allocated. Key Responsibilities Champion best practice across Construction Logistics, promoting continuous improvement and sharing operational learning. Review, validate and communicate logistics insights to key stakeholders, ensuring clear visibility of local level reporting. Analyse complex information to identify risks and make evidence based decisions that shape logistics strategy. Provide concise, executive level insights to support robust decision making, using both commercial and technical data. Apply core project controls principles and work closely with wider project management functions. Lead outcome driven sessions with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and effective integration. Oversee schedule and cost updates arising from forecasting changes, collaborating with other functions to understand impacts and develop mitigation strategies. Education, Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience (minimum). Logistics specific qualifications or equivalent experience (preferred). Proven experience managing logistics teams within complex, highly regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, major infrastructure, construction logistics, or energy. Strong background in applying logistics frameworks and methodologies to deliver positive outcomes on large scale projects. Expertise in logistics technology solutions, with experience implementing and managing complex digital systems. Demonstrated leadership capability, with a track record of supporting and developing high performing teams. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and operate under pressure.
