Job Description
Working within a wider engineering team, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering works across the programme. You will collaborate closely with the Site Agent, Project Management team, and key stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with airport operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering works.
- Ensure engineering activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.
- Work closely with Site Agents and Project Managers to coordinate construction activities.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Review and manage engineering documentation, technical drawings, and construction records.
- Assist with programme management and construction sequencing within a live operational airport environment.
- Coordinate with designers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges.
- Support quality assurance processes, inspections, and testing activities.
- Contribute to project reporting and progress monitoring throughout the construction lifecycle.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a Construction Engineer or Site Engineer position on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, steelwork, and civil engineering construction methods.
- A solid understanding of the design, construction, and delivery stages of large-scale engineering projects.
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments, ideally airports, aviation, rail, defence, or other operational infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and quality management processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
