Construction Director

We are looking for an experienced Construction Director to lead two major projects in England. The successful candidate will base themselves between the two sites and have complete autonomy for running both.

Projects

• Project 1 - Oldbury, Birmingham
  CAT A: £14M + CAT B: £4M
  Stage 4 design finalized, tendering almost complete.
  Site starts end of March; immediate start required for ramp up.
  Project run in two continuous stages. AA occupy about 75% of building during works. Full CAT to whole building for client, negotiations for CAT B for AA areas.
  Program: months.
• Project 2 - Leeds City Centre
  CAT: £6M
  PCSA period finalized; tender in next 2 weeks.
  Strip out 3 floors early February to obtain deletion from rating list, main works start mid May.
  One stage project lasting 9 10 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction management for both projects, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule.
• Coordinate with client, consultants, and AA/tenant parties for seamless work flow.
• Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and cost saving programmes.
• Negotiate and liaise with contractors for CAT A and CAT B works.
• Direct site teams, oversee H&S compliance, and produce progress reports.
• Work closely with Dublin office for administrative support.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record in fit out and large commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of M&E engineering and critical oversight of M&E works.
• Experience managing multi stage projects and CAT assessments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• UK based, able to travel to Birmingham and Leeds sites.

Remuneration

Location: Leeds - Salary £110,000 - £130,000 per annum. Car allowance included.
